I’ve loved photography since I was old enough to hold a camera. There are videos of me at 2 years old BEGGING to film, or as I would call it “faom”, my dad with his now ancient flip camera. When I got a little bit older, I began to use my mom's iPhone, and if I was super lucky, my dad’s Nikon D90 for my little photoshoots (usually of my relatively reluctant brother). I was obsessed with photography because I could not only capture the things around me, but make them something new and special. Messing around with things like perspective, lighting, and composition, I learned I could create art. A couple of years and LOTS of practice later, I’m still at it!
Now that you’ve gotten a little blast from the past, it’s time to get to know the current me! As you guys probably already know my name is Leorah Roeber, but if you’re wondering how to pronounce it think “Lay-or-uh” “Ray-ber”. I’m currently 18 years old, and will be attending Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo California this fall, to study International Affairs and Philosophy (with a minor in Photography of course). I was born in Colorado, but I grew up in New Jersey, and currently live in South Bend Indiana. I love anything ocean-related, but some of my other hobbies include tennis, playing (and teaching) piano, golf, and adventuring in general! One of my biggest passions though, and the one let's be honest you’re probably most interested in, is my photography business! I mainly do portrait photography, the exception being detail shots for weddings, etc. I LOVE taking pictures of people because it is, in a way, an expression of one of my love languages. I love to give gifts, and to me, portrait photography can help give people one of the most important gifts: self-confidence! Ultimately, I love my job because of you guys, and am beyond honored to have the opportunity to work with all of you!!
